Created especially as an area for young children to play, interact and grow, the Harrisonburg Children's Museum is packed with activities and action throughout the day. The Creation Station Art Studio is a fun place for kids and parents alike to try their hands at the special art project of the week. Move on to the Science Area, where the hands-on experiments and games teach kids about magnets, gravity and more. At the Theater area, youngsters can play dress-up and engage in complex performances and games, or they can head to the Country Kitchen and Market and whip up a special plasticized feast to enjoy. This downtown museum lets the imagination of children know no boundaries, making it a favorite for the young and the young at heart.
